Adegas das Canadas are a set of four typical houses: the Adega Pedra do Lagar, the Adega Velha, the Casa da Vigia and the Casa da Figueirinha. They are located in the Parish of Calheta de Nesquim 18 km from the village of Lajes do Pico.
The Adega Velha and the Pedra do Lagar winery are located in Canadas, an area of vineyards protected by lava stone corrals that characterize a significant part of the island's landscape and which earned it the classification of world heritage.
Casa da Vigia is located in an area where you can enjoy a wide view of the ocean. This place was used like watchman in the beginnings of the whaling in the parish.
These three houses are close to the sea allowing you to enjoy its beauty and grandeur. Very close by is the natural pool of the "Poça das Mujas", whose crystalline waters invite a pleasant dip.
Casa da Figueirinha is situated half-way between the sea and the mountains, surrounded by green fields. It is located one kilometer from the sea, the beach area and the center of the parish and is the ideal place for a quiet holiday in full contact with nature.
